Hi Kris,

thanks for this nice intro.

I rewrote some of the functions in a more "functional" style.

I knew there was a way to make my monstrous code much simpler. I've been LISPing for 3 years or so, and I'm still breaking out of the imperative mindset. Thanks for the clean up!
