I believe this idea was originally by Casey, partly to do some cross-promotion of tools the department helped develop.
IMO it's not 100% necessary, but perhaps a light integration could be cool.
I want to avoid duplicating functionality that mygeneset.info already has, e.g. "search by species", "search by type", and all the other filters. Instead, maybe we could just have a very basic search and defer to the full website for more advanced searching. Or maybe we could just embed an iframe, even.
This would all be "hidden" behind a "Import from MyGeneset.info" button as to not clutter the interface. The user would click that button, then a popup or something would appear.
