Mark as read doesn't work properly on HTC Legend

When clicking the "mark as read" Button the popup closes, but messages are not 
marked as read.
Since the last update the reminder pops up every ten minutes. I think it is the 
same reason -> messages are not marked as read properly

Could you please fix it.

Can you define what you mean when you say that the messages are not being 
marked as read? Do you mean the little number over the SMS icon does not change?

exactly. the little number over the SMS icon does not disappear. also the 
notification sound comes up twice, though notification in the standard 
messaging app is not activated.
