Numbers in a search cause a No Match #466

I'm using extended search and when I enter numbers in the search, it causes nothing to be found. For example, "inch crust" is found, but "12 inch crust" is not - and it should be. If I add a single quote to the front of just the 12, it works as expected. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
