What is Breaking Changes "Extension Changed" in the 7.0.0 release? #757

I'm upgrading to the most recent major version of Fuse. In the changelog I noticed for the 7.0.0 version under "Breaking Changes" there is a bullet point for "Extension Changed."

I'm not entirely sure what that means, and would love some insight if anyone could help.
