this must have been a comet issue as I updated it an pb has disappeared, and I tested it works as expected. I'll let you close the issue @krisrs1128 you should update comet on the singularity too

Okay, good to know it's resolved. I've updated the comet image so it's version 2.0.15 (most recent on pip), for both the clusters.
