I would love if support for detecting mouse4 and mouse5 (the side buttons some mice have) could be added if it's not too much trouble.

Good suggestion and easy to do. Thanks Jacob. Done with 5c620a6b9a6b17c968c50e94fe50260e27f2e7d0, release v3.3. Hope this helps!
