I've tried to update the gem to the latest version through 'bundle update'. I'm using JRuby 1.5.6 and on it, the install of the current version fails as it or one of its dependencies depends on a gem named thrift. This gem is either a C or a C++ extension and therefore incompatible with JRuby.
