Milarepa is the second-generation patriarch of the Kagyu sect of Tibetan Buddhism, and the only famous monk in the history of Tibetan Buddhism who became a Buddha. His skin turned green as a result of the long-term wrapping of wild nettles. The famous Milarepa Cave is an important place to understand Tibetan Buddhist culture. Zhangmu Port is only more than 90 kilometers away from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, so many foreign tourists use it as the gate for them to enter or exit Tibet. In Zhangmu, there is Shishapangma, the 14th highest peak in the world, dense virgin forests, peculiar glaciers, and dozens of lakes of various sizes, as well as many scenic spots and historical sites for sightseeing. Shishapangma is 8,012 meters above sea level; ranking 14th among 14 8,000-meter peaks in the world, and it is also the only 8,000-meter peak entirely in China (Nyalam). Lhotse is 8,516 meters above sea level, making it the fourth highest peak in the world. It is located 3 kilometers south of Mount Everest. It is called "Dingjiexie Sangma" in Tibetan, which means "blue and beautiful fairy". Pekucuo is located in Nyalam County, Shigatse Region, 250 kilometers away from Dingri County. Pekucuo is the largest lake in Shigatse, covering an area of more than 300 square kilometers. The lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides, with open terrain and abundant fish resources. The Sino-Nepalese Friendship Bridge is located on the Sino-Nepalese Boundary River near the Zhangmu Port in Nyalam County. Zhangmu Town is located in Nyalam County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region, China. It was called "Tajue Gabu" in ancient times, which means "adjacent port" in Tibetan, and is an important branch extension of the Ancient Tea Horse Road. Zhangmu 318 National Highway travels along the Nepal and Tibet borders, about 30 kilometers long, and it is the end of this scenic road across China. When you look out of the car window, you can see the lush green canyons, and you can even see waterfalls falling from the sky on the cliffs in the dense fog. Lixin Primitive Forest Scenic Spot is about 3 kilometers away from Zhangmu Town. It is one of the residential areas of Sherpa people in China. It is rich in wildlife resources, including snow leopards, long-tailed langurs, Himalayan Taal sheep and other rare and protected animals, as well as green wood, Phoebe and other wild rare tree species.
