There should be .h and .cpp files that can be added directly as additonal files in the IDE.
From where are you getting Sensor Tile libraries?

sorry i guess i had assumed the Ladybug was an arduino board, maybe thats why the library won't import into arduino IDE.

Ladybug is an Arduino board, you have to add this Arduino core:

gotchya, i was confusing 'lillypad' with 'ladybug'. I will try this out on one of my nucleo l432kc's or one of my L4 or other arm cortex boards from ST
