Since google code will be  will be shutting down, is in the plans move this 
project  to Github and continue the development there?

We have decided to migrate to Bitbucket

The last commit is from 2012-06-14, it will be sync only when the google code 
were shutdown?

The repo will be probably https://bitbucket.org/asomov/snakeyaml
It will be announced soon. 
May be the very old history (before version 1.0) will be removed.
