2 problems with this:

  1. You need to pay $99 to get a signing code.
  2. I think this may violate the terms of the GPL licence - worth checking though.

  1. NOT paying money to Apple for a problem that doesn't exist, and NOT getting locked into the app store swindle. This is NOT about protecting users but securing income streams for Apple, who are already pretty wealthy last time I checked. Digital signatures are not new that's what GPG is for.
  2. If we don't play we don't have to worry about it.
