Support Log4j-style configurations #79

The log4j xml format even though somewhat inferior to the format used in the 
current logging system is widely accepted. Implementation for it will ease 
integration in current log4j based setups.

Unit tests and documentation are now in the svn.

log4j Style xmls are not yet supported.
