Installing on Ubuntu 13.10 pip install hangs #40

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.As part of crosscat install, New bayesDB project (although same if done 
independently vis pip install)
setup.py just hangs the pip log shows no errors (python 2.7.5+)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Wish I had more info to provide..

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
PIP install of 0.20
