Vodafone845 (Huawei U8120): Speaker always on #944

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make a call

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The call is always on speaker. The screen switch says it is off but no matter
it is on or off the sound always comes from the speaker.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I tried 0.02-01 from the Android Market and CSipSimple-r842-trunk.apk from the
builds.
I'm using a Vodafone845 with Android 2.1

Thanks in advance!
If there is a workarround the program seems great

I don't know if this is important:

I'm using Poivy and I used de wizard to Betamax clones to configure the sip.

Did you try to play with workarounds available as described in the FAQ?
http://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/wiki/FAQ?wl=en#Audio_routing_troubleshooting

I would especially advise you to try just to activate "Use Mode API" (and leave
other params as default)

Users of the Huawei U8110 and U8150 reported me that Use Mode API fix things
for them. As consequence for these two models Use mode API is automatically
activated.
However as nobody had U8120 devices I did nothing automatically for U8120, but
if you say me it fix for you too, I'll include U8120 in the list of devices
that need this workaround ;)

(just if you want to have a look to the code that already do things for U8110
and U8150 :
http://code.google.com/p/csipsimple/source/browse/trunk/CSipSimple/src/com/csips
imple/utils/Compatibility.java#131 )
Just tell me and I'll include 8120 in the list. Thanks in advance for the test

Great news!

I can now tell you that activating only the "use mode audio API" solved the
problem.
Sorry to bother with this issue but I hadn't noticed it was in the FAQ section
already.

And I can also tell you this is a great app!

You can include this workaround for the Vodafone845/HuaweiU8120 ;)
Keep up the good work! Thanks again
