Disable caching by default #206

So this is just a placeholder issue to temporarily discuss and test disabling 
the caching framework by default.  Please check over the patch and post any 
comments here.  I'll apply it in a few days if there's no issues...

Sounds good to me. Caching is a really great concept but I think it causes 
problems when people aren't aware its being used. I know Gleeda and I have both 
spent a lot of time troubleshooting issues that ended up being solved by the 
user typing --no-cache.
