Mailbox names not uploading to labels #55

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Selecting mailboxes to be uploaded
2. Select the option for mailbox names to be labels once uploaded
3.Begin to upload

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected for my email from my "Sent" Folder to have a "Sent" label once
uploaded. There was no label except for the date loaded.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.2 Mac 10.10.1

Please provide any additional information below.

I have the same problem. The uploaded mail will be labeled with numbers which
have nothing to do with the labels

I'm having the exact same issue as well. Hoping to be able to migrate several
Apple Mail users to Google Apps for Business but need to get their mailboxes to
carry over properly. It would be amazing if this bug were fixed.

Thanks very much! :)

We are experiencing the exact same issue where mail box names are now labeled
with numbers - and they do not correlate at all with how our messages are
organized into mailboxes / subfolder structure.

Did you get a resolution on this? I'm about to transfer years of business
emails that are separated by Client and include subfolders under the Client
folder and I'm very concerned that I'll just have one inbox with 10000+ emails.

Also trying to migrate our business to google apps for work and several users
have local apple mailboxes. It's causing a serious problem for our switch over
as there is now resistance to the move as I haven't been able to show a single
successful migration of historic email.
Using uploaded v1.2 on OSX Yosemite.

The migration assistant, in the admin account, was able to successfully
migrate all past emails and folders to Google for Work Gmail. We initially
struggled getting the folders over using other methods but the migration
assistant worked great. I also talked to a Google customer service rep and
they were very helpful as well.

The migration assistant in the Admin console is not relevant to this issue as
it only handles server to server migrations (IMAP and others). What this issue
is about is where users have locally stored email from using POP and I want to
upload the content of this local email stores to a Google Apps for Work account
using the google email uploader for mac.
