Platfair Display 400 not printing correctly from PDF #230

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.use Playfair Display normal 400 in design layout
2.Create PDf of document
3.Print out document

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
text printed as per layout. some characters do not print correctly (a,g,n,s 
etc..

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
unknown, latest from google fonts, used in inDesign CS6 on mac OSX 10.8

Please provide any additional information below.

tried to embed the fonts but with no sucess, font prints correctly if font 
installed on machine printing but will not embed in pdf making the use of the 
pdf by third party usless.
