Sign in / Sign up pattern #16

I don't know if we would need this pattern anywhere, but it's an interesting way to combine both the sign in and sign up forms into one. Essentially, if the email address (or username) is not found after looking it up after the field loses focus, then it assumes the user wants to create a new account.

My only concern with that is from a security standpoint. Makes it really easy to find out if someone "else" has an account on that service or not.

And that is mentioned in the comments on that article, now that I read it.
