Code is not GPLed #22

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Despite the Google Code page saying the software is released under GPLv3,
all source files contain a copyright notice that reads "Copyright 2010
Grapewave. All rights reserved." The code is not actually GPLed.

I emailed the developer on 5/3/2010 to find out if this was intentional,
but got no response.

Yep, I'm no lawyer, but I think the GPL should be included in the Source
folder, and
in binary distributions in the disk image or somewhere in the About Dialog.
And the Source files should carry some prominent notice that states the GPL as
License for the code ...
Otherwise the GPL probably does not apply ...

According to the GPL howto (http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html), the
source
definitely needs to include a line stating that it is released under the GPL.
