Reserved instances for 4 T3.Medium instances for 12 months would be $852 up front. Currently, I'm going to spend $60 this month. AWS estimates that I'll spend $100 next month and going forward, but for now reserved instances would be a waste. Let's revisit this in a few months.

Comment 2: The errant version upgrade warning was being caused by not recycling the API service on k8s after updating the value.

For the time being, we'll be encrypting only user creds sent to the API. Payload responses will be left plaintext.
