What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. espn script error
2.xbmc nov 18 xbmc nightly

Same problem here. Xbmc 11.0 beta 2. Espn version 0.9.4
Error script failed : plugin.video.espn3

Be sure to edit the settings for the add on and enable get new user files. This 
fixed the issue for me.

Also have this issue on Eden with Windows, even after getting new user files.

Can get on after setting set to default however this does not allow me to log 
into my espn account to gain access to other channels besides espn3.

I am also still getting this on Lubuntu 12.04 after enabling new user files.
