Inconsistent confidence interval formatting across machines #1

I've noticed that the formatting of confidence intervals is incorrect on some machines (it will show negative signs where it shouldn't), but not others. I suspect this is due to differences in the versions of the package being used to display this statistic, but I'll need to investigate at some point to see what's going on.

I've reworked this section slightly, but no idea why this happens. There may be a missing abs somewhere.
