The Nu(s,z) field generated by AxiSEM3D does not honor the input Nu. For instance, for an input of constant Nu = 1000, the generated field is different.
This is due to Quad::formNrField method that imposes Nu = 3 on the axis and then interpolates for increasing distance to the axis.
I report this behavior because it is not documented or advertised anywhere that I could see.
