Develop list of Kubeflow adoptors for CNCF Due Diligence #608

Placeholder - Per CNCF checklist item (below), we need a list of users and use cases.

Document that it is being used successfully in production by at least three independent direct adopters which, in the TOC’s judgement, are of adequate quality and scope. For the definition of an adopter, see https://github.com/cncf/toc/blob/main/FAQ.md#what-is-the-definition-of-an-adopter.

CNCF definition of adopters:

Direct adopters of a project are responsible for the project's development, packaging, configuration, or deployment in their use of it.

Transitive adopters of a project are not responsible for the project's development, packaging, configuration, or deployment, however they may receive the benefits that the project provides.

How to move this forward:

1) It appears to me that the Kubeflow list of distributions is a list of direct adopters.

2) This list of Kubeflow distributions, which shows which distributions are active and documented, seems like a good artifact for this CNCF due diligence requirements, https://www.kubeflow.org/docs/started/installing-kubeflow/

@james-jwu Could you please check with other project leaders who are migrating to the CNCF and confirm that this appears to be a proper interpretation of the requirement.

BTW, we have transitive adopters and could provide that example as well i.e. Intuit, Roche, Roblox, who have produced these artifacts. If needed, we would need to ask them if they could help on this item. (Intuit - Deepak Kumar) https://blog.kubeflow.org/running-kubeflow-at-intuit/ , (Roche - Oswaldo Gomez) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuH3RgU8Lec, Capital One - Ali Rodell

Aurora - VINAY ANANTHARAMAN can be one of the adopters as well.
