Add support for syslog_drain_url binding response in secret #2887

Closed gberche-orange closed 2 years ago

gberche-orange commented 3 years ago

Feature request

As a service catalog user

What happened:

Service catalog only publishing the BindingResponse.credentials field in the secret as shown below

https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/service-catalog/blob/880e4007005c6848c6720150f5269499071cfbad/pkg/controller/controller_binding.go#L350 and https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/service-catalog/blob/880e4007005c6848c6720150f5269499071cfbad/pkg/controller/controller_binding.go#L538

What you expected to happen:

The produced secret to include a key syslog_drain_url with value from BindingResponse.syslog_drain_url field. This key would override an possibly existing syslog_drain_url set from the credentials or their transformation.

Workaround

Modify service broker binding response to also return the value of BindingResponse.syslog_drain_url field in as a syslog_drain_url hash in the BindingResponse.credentials field
