Hi @GanjMonk. Thanks for your PR.
I'm waiting for a kubernetes-sigs member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test
on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.
Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test
label.
I understand the commands that are listed here.

I think we can do better for this, like detecting the ginkgo binary version or something. We do need to work with Kubernetes development at HEAD as well as past release branches.

+1, maybe a change like this one https://github.com/kubernetes/test-infra/pull/26250
We do need to work with Kubernetes development at HEAD as well as past release branches.
+1 too, the support for flakeAttempts
will eventually gone with ginkgo v2, I am afraid this will break the test again at some time in the future.
I have a better fix for this
thanks for the PR -- please check if antonio's solution works for you https://github.com/kubernetes-sigs/kubetest2/pull/206,

premature change of naming, ginkgo v2 is not running when kubetest2 installed from scratch
