review tool, generator Go modules, updates from k8s/website #235

When updating or pulling in this repository as a sub-module from the k8s/website repository, I noticed that most or all of this repository's content (tool source code, theme, other files) is copied. I'd rather not pull down the theme, but limit the update to the source in the tool/generator directories. Investigate the generator tools and how the Go libraries are packaged for reuse in the k8s website.
