When I go to "Code Scanning" in a new GitHub repo and try and enable Kubescape there, it's not listed.

https://docs.github.com/en/actions/creating-actions/publishing-actions-in-github-marketplace suggests the required steps to get into their marketplace.

The Kubescape action is published in the gitthub marketplace, as you can see here.

I think we also need to be in "Code scanning".

The screenshot in the original post is about recommended workflows for a new repository. That list is manually curated with a PR-based application process. I believe it used to be that list was no longer expanded (can’t find a link at the moment), but it might have changed and they might be accepting new PRs and workflows. So it seems like adding Kubescape to this list is finally possible.

Apologies, looked at the wrong thing. I can’t find the link for all the code scanning tools mentioned there, but some time ago these were all stored in a special repository that Github curates. You′d have to make a PR to be included. Back when I checked, they have stopped taking applications, if I remember correctly. If needed, we can investigate this further.

Might be possible that this is synced with the Starter Workflows.
