New user process to join Slack is not clear #700

We have a report from a new user that had trouble joining k8s slack. 

quick feedback: the slack invite on the kubevirt.io page references this channel, but for someone who isn’t on k8's slack yet it’s quite hard to figure out what to do (go to slack.k8s.io requenst an invite then join the channel on kubevirt.io)

Let's see if we can put a notice on the community page to make the process easier

I just searched through all the CNCF sandbox projects. At worst projects just use GitHub and markdown for their sites. In the middle projects do what we do and link directly to the Slack channel. CNCF themselves link directly to a channel in slack.

OpenEBS has a link to Slack channel and a panel for an invitation widget.

This might be worthwhile. Our Community page is disorganized anyway. It could use some sprucing up.
