Does not work in IE8 and Safari 5.1

FontAwesome does work in those browsers, so perhaps it has to do with the unicode mapping. You could try to use different character addresses.

Thanks for the report!! Try to look into the cause a little more.

IE < 10 does not have ligature support, that is why the font doesn't work on IE8.

BTW, great font!

The icons are great, it would be a shame if usage was limited because it uses ligatures.

@kudakurage could give us any updated version which works in ie8-9, opera browsers? In the rest it works awesome
