Texture Distortion in SSB under Glide64 #128

In Super Smash Bros. (U) [!]
MD5: F7C52568A31AADF26E14DC2B6416B2ED
under Glide64 there is abnormal distortion in the game textures,
especially for the character's faces as pictured below:

http://sknauert.web.wesleyan.edu/smash_brothers-000.png

this occurs on both my (32-bit / r300 / Debian Unstable) and JarkJeztr's
(32-bit / Nvidia / Gentoo) machines.

It occurs regardless of interpreter used and does not occur on glN64, I
can't use Rice with this game, on my system.

Due to the fact it occurs on any resolution, I think this may be vertex /
coordinate related. Since we have may minor texture misalignments, fixing
this bug might help shed light into these other artifacts.

Although the original screenshot is not available anymore, I can confirm a
graphical
distortion in SSB using either Glide64 OR RiceVideo.

The only distortion I have discovered with RiceVideo are the pipes on the
Mushroom
Kingdom stages, they look somehow crooked. (first picture)

gl64 has items problems with the pipes too but it is of different nature. It
effects
not only the pipes but also some characters on the character selection screen.
(second picture)

These shots were made with mupen64plus 1.5 on Ubuntu 8.10 w/ NVIDIA binary
drivers.
The RiceVideo distortion dates back to 1.4 and before, I think.

Glide64 will no longer be maintained in the core Mupen64Plus project. It is
expected
that someone will make a compatible port of the newly released Glide Napalm
plugin,
and this will be a separate project.
