Did you install the application in a C: drive folder?
Yes
Did you not read the HOW TO INSTALL instructions???
Closing the issue. Not a bug.
User did not follow simple install instructions properly. And instructions were clearly provided right at the release download page.
While doing further investigation i have tested the application from C drive, Program Files , User directory, and Desktop folder.
Application runs completely fine from all these locations and load the modules correctly without any exception or failures.
My earlier assumption that the failures experienced by some users when application is installed to C drive was wrong. There is nothing wrong with the app and it works fine even from any directory in C drive.
A stackoverflow user has posted facing a similar issue here https://stackoverflow.com/questions/41572933/an-object-at-the-specified-path-c-users-user1-name-does-not-exist
This has the exact same error as given in the stack trace shared by these users including the op for this issue.
The stackoverflow user found that the issue was caused by corrupted user profiles on these user's machines. Powershell scripts were perfectly fine.
as such... i have now removed the install instruction to not use C drive. If users wish they are free to use any directory in C drive and the application will work fine for them
However....
To avoid un-necessary noise created by users with such issues, i have added a check in Install.bat to fail installation if C drive is being used.
i will remove this check in a future bug fix release and allow the application to be installed anywhere.
The above check has been removed in the latest release and now the application has a seamless installation to C drive without any workarounds necessary.
All windows machine irrespective of HDD drive configuration are now supported and work fine.
Clicking on Continue does nothing.
