no sounds notification on Ubuntu

What steps will reproduce the problem?
 -  there is no steps. sounds not working on ubuntu. 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
no sound notification.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system and
what Desktop Environment?
latest via PPA, on Ubuntu Natty.

Please provide any additional information below.

open /usr/share/hotot/index.html with any text editor, search 
"../sound/notify.wav" and replace with "./sound/notify.wav"
