Permission management #488

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
ver 2.2.3

- Add and edit descriptions I can only as administrator
- If I have the right Read&Write&Delete I see the description, but do not have
the right to change or add

As a user with Read&Write&Delete enable the management of the descriptions?

This has been like this from day 1, intentionally. I'm going to add some kind
of permission management, where different aspects or features can be restricted
for users/groups. So this has to wait for that.

to add comments but i can't give them all admin right obviously(!)

a temporary solution for R&W&D would be great :-)

adding comments does not require admin user, only adding description

It could be possible to modify your copy to allow RWD user description, but
this would require changing into non-minified version as modifying the
mollify.full.min.js is quite difficult.

I don't know if it's related to this, but I see a "description" field in the
"users" table, and it would be nice to be able to populate it from the
application. I would help me to better understand what each user is supposed to
be.

Regards,
Esteve

#7: No it's not related to this.

The description field is meant for groups (they are in same db table), but no
reason why it wouldn't be for users as well.
