Ref 6: Deformable part-based object detectors Ref 3: Active Appearance Models Motionlets: irányfüggő felismerő betanítása (12 irányra, 23x24 pixels képekkel). Cascaded AdaBoost + Various (!) feature planes (RGB, LBP, gradient magnitude, texture descriptors, multispectral planes and more)! Leading to Haar-like features with different modalities. Searching with sliding window (changing position, size and aspect ratio) in RoI (retrieved using background modelling). If there is a candidate, motion direction is retrieved using optical flow and the 2 best motionlet detector is applied. After detections, tracking is based on detections in the near and correlation check.

Calibration for real size measurements: user needs to draw a cube with known size on the video image. (They only need the camera matrix, not the external parameters. They use it to project the vehicle model on the image.) Matching a wireframe with the vehicle to estimate its length, height, width and speed.
