Proposes an algorithm similar to MPEG-4 which takes into account shape information of moving objects.

The proposed algorithms are very appropriate for application to surveillance-type video, in which automatic detection of new appearance and tracking of the interesting VO are crucial in implementing object-based real-time surveillance system.
