10 years ago Combines #135 with a Haar-like features. It uses a simple fast headlight detector to collect candidates, then classifiers the verify them and remove false positives. It also considers using background subtraction but does not use it mainly because of its difficulty in nighttime lighting conditions.
The proposed method claims to have better results in certain circumstances than Viola and Jones's (Haar) method alone.
