What page URL will reproduce the problem?
http://www.vickiphillipsgolf.com

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

If I type the wrong captcha code, I expect to get an error message and be
prevented from registering or sending a contact form. Instead, I can
still register or send contacts, etc. no matter what code I type. The
captcha codes don't seem to do anything.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

joomla 1.5.9 I downloaded the most recent version of joomla15captcha.

Please provide any additional information below.

I am also having issues with the registrationa and contact pages not
redirecting to a welcome or thank you message, but I believe that is
something different.

After playing around with this for hours, I see that the captcha IS working.
However, you never get an error message if you type in the wrong code. The
other
problem (which may or may not be related) is that when you hit send, the page
redirects to a blank registration form or contact form so there is no way of
knowing
if you were successful in creating an account or sending a message.

So, if you type the correct captcha, you never get a "thank you" or "welcome"
message to tell you it worked. Likewise, you never get an error message to say
you
typed the wrong captcha code. I'm really at a loss how to fix this.

/components/com_contact/controller.php
and
/components/com_contact/views/contact/tmpl/default_form.php

Hi, can you tell me how you got this to work? I have the captcha showing in
Virtuemart registration form but you can register with or without putting
anything
in the field.
Thanks,
Harmony

Same Problem here. Registration is not mandatory - captcha can be bypassed!

I run J! 1.5.12 and VM 1.1.3
