Plain text before delimiter wrongly formatted same as the delimiter #26

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open a template with plain text immediately before a { 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Only the { should be formatted as a smarty delimiter (bold dark red in my
case), but the same formatting is applied to the plain text.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
smartyPDT 0.5.3 (SVN rev 70), Eclipse 3.3.1.1, Vista
