When I open RViz after compiling with catkin_make, there is no rviz_hdmap_editor option when I choose to add new panels. image

Did you source the workspace?

Sure, I restarted a new terminal and performed the source operation as instructed in the readme.

How did you install ros? If you install like

apt install ros-xxx-ros-base

Some packages may be missing... Please try

apt install ros-xxx-desktop

Thank you very much. My ROS version is Noetic. I followed your suggestions, but the issue still persists. I will continue to investigate the cause. image

You might fail to compile. Let me see the log of catkin_make.

I needed to install libopencv-dev and qt5-default besides ros-xxx-desktop
