Various updates to the MEDSL build pipeline. More of an FYI than an explicit request for review, but I welcome comments if you have any in particular.
This also includes a small edit to 01a_gen_classifications.py to make it work on my system. I have also updated the status files, which is why the merge is conflicted. Feel free to just remove those from the commit and we can run the updates on main.
