Can two client connect to one server at the same time?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I use my first phone (2.2) to connect to realvnc in xp,it successed,then I use 
the another phone(2.2) to connect the realvnc too,it successed too,but the 
first one's connection is broken,it said "vnc connection failed!",I changede 
the vnc server from real vnc to ultra vnc,both failed,why?
but I use xp viewer to connect the real vnc,two xp both work fine.

In general, more than one device should be able to connect to the same server.  
There is usually an option on the server to turn this on or off.
