I am still using original silver bird but everyone now using new character limit and its anoying.

It throws error Default locale is defined but default data couldn't be loaded..

Ah, I've seen the error. I'm not sure if I can provide a release version though, as it needs private keys. I'll see what I can do.

@urbels I can't really find out how to fix. I think the best would be, if you download a zip of this repository, unpack it somewhere and load it on chrome://extensions To make the extension work, you must rename secret_keys_stub.js (in the folder lib) to secret_keys.js. Now go to https://apps.twitter.com/, create a new app and open the secret_keys.js file in an editor, and fill in the consumer secret key and consumer key

Can you still sideload apps not on a dev chrome? I think no. But I can try.

Ok I added it. It asks me to authorise and when I click it, it gives code and does nothing.

Have you tried entering the code in the extension popup?

Since Silver bird are now completely unusable, I tried this again. I opened it, it redirected me to to authorisation page, I clicked authorise and it said authorised but app does not work. It shown just small blank rectangular..

Also it says I should go back to my app to enter pin. Can I enter it somewhere manually?
