cd to absolute paths that include NFS sometimes (often) stall #7

When you cd to an absolute path in an NFS mount, the cd command often stalls. 
If done via the cd widget then it happens all the time. The cd command appears 
to stall forever (orange input field, spinning working thing), but completes on 
the next command execution.
