Proximity Sensor turns off screen too late (stays on while dialing/connecting) #737

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Dial number, press call button for call via Sipdroid, see Sipdroid come up
and start connecting the call...
2. Apply phone to face
3. Wonder why your ear is trying to end the call/open notifications/drunk dial
your ex.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Screen should turn off as soon as Sipdroid starts dialing/trying to connect the
call, as this is the moment when any normal phone user puts the phone to their
ear.

Instead, Sipdroid doesn't turn off the screen via proximity sensor until the
call is actually connected.

What version of the product are you using? On what device/operating system?
Sipdroid 1.6.1 beta on Desire w/ CM6 nightly 174.

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
1&1.de with PBXes.

Which type of network are you using?
WiFi, 3G and EDGE all produce the same result.

Please provide any additional information below.

Interesting, it's actually been solved on my Desire (now running the latest
CMC7 nightly) - I just forgot to update this issue.

Which device and ROM are you using?

i'm on a Samsung Galaxy S plus running official (but rooted) Samsung 2.3.6 rom.
Once the call connects, proximity works fine. but until then (while ringin for
example), the screen is still on.
