Fix compilation on macOS #17

provides its own `extern "C"`, and on macOS wrapping it again catches some C++ headers within `extern "C"`, leading to errors. (See also bioconda/bioconda-recipes#25275.)

This simple fix remains relevant. It would be appreciated if @kuwisdelu would consider applying it.

Fixed separately as part of Bioconductor 3.16 release.
