This may be a rules question and not a CB question, I'm not sure.
In general you can replace a power with another power any time you level up, so it's not out of the question that you've swapped out a bunch of lower-level spells for higher-level ones. If you have spells from Basic Arcane/Basic Faith those are currently restricted to Novice tier (and similar for Novice Spellscholar) - whether they should be allowed to swap is another question, but that currently prevents you from only buying Adept spells and ending up unable to use your novice slots.
I couldn't find that in the rules anywhere, though I looked. I know that's the current wisdom, I was trying to find it in black & white. Either way, cool, probably not a bug :-)
It's the section titled "Tiers and Powers". It doesn't call out spells explicitly, but spells are a type of power. It's also the only occurrence of "swap" in the main rulebook.
When I level my character up 1 level at a time, the spells I can buy are limited by what I'm able to cast.
When I skip to level 8, I can buy any spells I want- including all adept spells.
Do we want to limit spells known by what you could have purchased on the way to the correct level?
(I should only have been able to buy 3 adept spells at level 8. I have 4 and could have bought more)![image](https://github.com/kw/camp/assets/147640995/bc145fe5-0310-43ed-b073-a9b267c857a5)
