Choice selection issues

When deleting a choice selection from a feature that has a rank field, the rank field has validation complaints.

When adding choices to Novice Spell-scholar in prod, choices don't seem to persist even though the green "Choice applied" message appears. This does not seem to happen in local dev.

Repro:

1. Create a new character.
2. Add Mage level 2
3. Return to the character sheet, go to Novice Spell-scholar, and try to make choices
4. Choice appears to have saved but is not persisted, as can be seen by choosing another value.
