Am I missing something? The code does not seem to be using the repository.

No, I guess not, I just upload the library as an archive. Is that what you mean?

Yes using the actual repository for source code control and revision tracking 
so that others can check it out and see the changes between revisions vs just 
making snapshots available in archives.
